Magdalena Abele grew up on Lake Constance and studied in Karlsruhe at the renowned Hochschule für Gestaltung, specializing in Media and Photography. With the photographic artworks from the series “BUG”, created in 2019, the idea of archiving and preservation is in the foreground. Tiny details in urban and natural space are captured as if under a magnifying glass. Through her elegant works, Magdalena Abele succeeds in giving precious meaning to the fleeting moments of color and light one would usually not register, and preserves them for eternity.
